Description In 1992 Nissan won the 24 Hours of Daytona with the R91CP driven by Japanese drivers (Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki and Masahiro Hasemi). It would be the first time that a Japanese car company won this historic endurance race. Tamiya has recreated this iconic race car on a 1/10 scale chassis using a detailed polycarbonate body with a driver cockpit interior. The highly detailed body is mounted on a direct drive platform employing foam tires for superior traction on smooth driving surfaces. This kit was originally released in 1992 then released again in 2012. Direct-Drive 2WD Chassis Based around an ABS plastic bathtub, with space frames front and rear and FRP plates, the chassis is a composite design that offers a rigid base to back up the fluid suspension: the result is a crisp, responsive driving experience. At the front, it has an independent coil-sprung king pin suspension setup, while the rear rigid suspension is a 3-point design with a 1.5mm thickness FRP T-bar and single CVA oil damper; teamed up with sponge tires front and rear, they ensure superb traction on smooth asphalt and carpeted surfaces. Additionally, use of spacers allows two different front and three rear ground clearance setups. FEATURES: • 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 480mm, width: 204mm, height: 109mm. Wheelbase: 280mm. • The distinctive low-profile aerodynamic body, wing and front light cases are separately molded in polycarbonate. (Note that LED lights cannot be attached.) • Polycarbonate body and wing have pre-made holes. • Black nylon plastic parts realistically recreate side mirror, wing stay, induction pod and windshield wiper. • Features a styrene plastic cockpit and driver figure. • Gun metallic 5-spoke wheels are paired with high-grip sponge tires. • Comes with helmet markings of three Japanese drivers (Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki and Masahiro Hasemi). • Includes 540Type Brushed Motor. • Required to complete: 2-channel radio, steering servo, ESC, 7.2-7.4-volt battery with compatible charger, and Tamiya PS paints.
