This is the '62 Chevy Impala Hardtop model kit from Revell Germany. In 1961-62, Chevrolet introduced a significant styling change to the full-size Impala car line, marking the end of the extravagant fin era. The 1962 Hardtop model featured a new convertible roof design and offered the powerful 409 cubic inch V-8 engine, favored by drag racers. As part of the third generation of Impalas, the '62 model showcased more conservative styling options. With five different engine choices, ranging from the 230 cubic inch 6-cylinder to the potent 409 cubic inch V-8, the '62 Impala continued Chevy's tradition of producing top-selling cars.
