1/193 Space Force Orbital Rocket Description 1/193 Scale. This classic kit has never been reissued. Includes detailed instructions and Willy Ley booklet. A research-oriented, three-stage, manned rocket designed for controlled orbital flight. The first stage consists of a large, vertically launched twin-engine rocket with wings, manned by a pilot and co-pilot. It carries the second and third stages in a 'piggy-back' manner. After its burn-out, the first stage lands, is equipped with jet-engine pods, and is flown back to the launch site. The second stage is a disposable rocket designed to boost the third stage into orbit. The third stage, also winged and rocket-powered, is designed for re-entry and landing, and features a pilot within a transparent cabin. Model includes 3-stage rocket with transparent cabin, droppable fuel tanks, and retractable landing gear, launching pad, 5 figures and decals. All parts of the rocket can be separated. Molded in 3 colors and clear. Originally released by Monogram in 1959.
